Cambridge Group Rescues Unpicked Blackberries for Low-Income Households

A community group in Cambridge is working to provide free food to low-income households by harvesting an abundance of unpicked blackberries. The initiative, led by Cambridge Sustainable Food, aims to prevent the fruit from going to waste.

Alex Vardill, a representative from Cambridge Sustainable Food, stated that the organization did not want the ripe blackberries to be left uncollected. The project focuses on distributing these gathered berries to families in need within the local community.
