Buc-ee's Expands Footprint With 15 New Locations Across the U.S.

Buc-ee's, the Texas-based travel center chain, has announced plans to open 15 new locations across the United States, including its largest outpost to date. The expansion will bring the total number of Buc-ee's stores to over 70.

The company recently opened its largest western outpost in Goodyear, Arizona. This new 74,000-square-foot location features 120 fueling stations and marks Buc-ee's debut in the Grand Canyon State. Stan Beard of Buc-ee's stated that Goodyear was chosen for its strategic placement for travelers headed to California or the Phoenix area. The Goodyear store, located at 1001 N. Bullard Avenue, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and offers Buc-ee's signature items such as Texas BBQ, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, and jerky.

The expansion plan includes several openings in the coming years:

This year, three locations are scheduled to open: San Marcos, Texas, on August 12; Benton, Arkansas, on August 17; and Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on November 16.

By 2027, new stores are planned for Ruston, Louisiana; Kansas City, Kansas; Gallaway, Tennessee; St. Lucie, Florida; and Boerne, Texas.

In 2028, Buc-ee's will open locations in Mebane, North Carolina, and Lafayette, Louisiana.

Further expansion is slated from 2029 to 2031 with new sites planned for Ocala, Florida; West Memphis, Arkansas; Oak Grove, Kentucky; and Hardeeville, South Carolina.

Buc-ee's, which first opened in 1982, has grown from a simple gas station into a popular destination, often described as a "tourist trap." The stores are known for their extensive offerings, including large gift shops, full-scale food markets, and the chain's mascot, a beaver named Buc-ee.

Following the Goodyear opening, Buc-ee's operates 56 stores across Texas, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Colorado, Mississippi, Virginia, Georgia, and Ohio.
