Bethenny Frankel's New Brand Surpasses Skinnygirl Empire in Earnings

Bethenny Frankel, known for her roles on reality television and as the founder of Skinnygirl Cocktails, states that her current career as a food and beauty influencer has become her most profitable venture. Frankel launched her new brand, Supermodel, which features low-calorie bagels, spreads, and coffees, inspired by viral food hacks she has shared on social media.

She told the Daily Mail that her top earning year with Skinnygirl does not compare to her current income. "It's out of control. It's amazing. It's the most successful I've ever been by far," Frankel said, indicating that the Supermodel brand is on track to become even larger than her previous Skinnygirl empire. She plans to expand Supermodel into multiple food categories with nationwide distribution, stores, and cafes.

Frankel previously founded Skinnygirl Cocktails in 2009, selling it to Beam Global for over $100 million just two years later. In May, she mentioned on Emma Grede’s Aspire podcast that her brand deals and social media influencing alone generate over $20 million annually.

Recent Collaborations and Ventures

Earlier this year, Frankel declined an offer to rejoin her former Real Housewives of New York castmates for the reality series "The Golden Life," citing potential negative impacts on her current business endeavors. However, she later participated in a high-budget campaign for RoC Skincare in Paris with Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan. Frankel described this collaboration as not only financially beneficial but also a healing experience, stating that it allowed her to address past "toxicity of reality TV."

The Supermodel Cafe, which launched its first pop-up in the Hamptons, offers healthier versions of popular foods. Menu items include "protein-forward, 150-calorie bagels" developed with Goldberg's bagels, a low-fat chicken salad, and gluten-free cheesecake. The cafe also offers specialty bagels, including the "Rage Bait" and "Nepo Baby" bagels, and signature lattes created in partnership with Cumulus.

Frankel first gained public attention as a runner-up on NBC's "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" in 2005. She later became a prominent cast member on "The Real Housewives of New York City." After launching Skinnygirl Cocktails, she retained the rights to the Skinnygirl brand name for non-alcoholic products, extending it to various items such as denim, eyewear, and food products.
