Whitbread is closing all 106 of its Beefeater restaurants across the United Kingdom, along with its other restaurant brands, following a consultation process. The company has not yet provided a specific timeline for the closures, but indications suggest they are imminent.
Among the sites slated for closure are numerous Beefeater locations including The Anchor in Lincolnshire, The Applecart in Oxford, and Badgers Sett in Worcestershire. Brewers Fayre restaurants are also affected, with planned closures including Abergavenny in Abergavenny, Afon Conwy in Conwy, and Aire & Calder in Yorkshire.
