Beach Boys Co-Founder Mike Love Lists Lake Tahoe Estate for $43 Million

Mike Love, a founding member of The Beach Boys, has listed his extensive Lake Tahoe estate in Incline Village, Nevada, for $43 million. Love and his wife, Jacquelyne, have owned the nearly 20,000-square-foot property for over four decades.

The estate is situated on a mountainside with 180-degree views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains. To preserve these views, Love placed six acres of surrounding land into conservation, ensuring the privacy of the property.

The entrance to the home features a 10-inch-thick solid wood door carved by Indian temple artisans, adorned with rubies, diamonds, and pearls, and depicting Ganesh, the Hindu god of new beginnings. The door was blessed by a Hindu priest before installation. Inside, a koi pond anchors a grand, wrought-iron spiral staircase leading to a hand-painted celestial dome ceiling. The estate includes 10 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms. The primary suite occupies an entire wing and features a stone fireplace and a private deck. Eight additional bedrooms are individually themed. The main living area boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows, retractable doors opening onto a terrace, a large river rock fireplace with a water wall, and an indoor koi pond. The sprawling estate includes 10 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms

Amenities on the property include a professional recording studio, a chef's kitchen, a movie theater, a poker room, an arcade, a wine cellar, a boardroom, a gym, a cedar sauna, a steam room, and a meditation room. Outside, there is a private ice-skating rink stocked with skates. The primary suite offers a private retreat with a stone fireplace and deck

Love, who co-founded The Beach Boys with his cousins Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, and friend Al Jardine, has spent much of his life touring. The Lake Tahoe home was intended as an escape from his demanding schedule. The property is located about 40 minutes from Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The listing positions the estate as one of the most exclusive properties in the Lake Tahoe area, a region that has seen significant interest from wealthy individuals seeking privacy. The most expensive sale in the area to date was $125 million earlier this year. Home amenities include a sauna, steam room, and meditation room

The Loves were also involved in the Incline Village community, co-founding the Lake Tahoe School and supporting the local hospital. The estate's design incorporates elements reflecting Love's spiritual interests, including the eastern religious artifacts. The Beach Boys in London, Britain
