Aston Martin Secures £550 Million in Loans to Bolster Finances
The luxury automaker aims to strengthen its financial position and fund future product development with the new loan facility.
Aston Martin has secured a £550 million loan deal aimed at improving its financial standing and supporting future product plans. The luxury car manufacturer has faced financial challenges in recent years, including reporting a net loss of £493.2 million last year, an increase of over 50%.
In March, the company announced plans to cut approximately 600 jobs, a move expected to yield annual savings of around £40 million. Aston Martin has attributed its difficulties partly to the impact of U.S. tariffs and weaker demand in China. Most of the job reductions were anticipated to affect its UK-based operations, where the majority of its workforce is located.
The newly secured loans are intended to bolster the company's balance sheet and provide funding for its ongoing and upcoming product development initiatives. The company is scheduled to release its half-year financial results on July 29.
