Giorgio Armani's Heirs Showcase Enduring Vision Amid Company Transition
Niece Silvana Armani and menswear designer Leo Dell’Orco lead the creative direction as the fashion house navigates a 15% stake sale stipulated in the late designer's will.

Giorgio Armani’s enduring creative vision was on full display at his historic Milan headquarters, where his heirs continue to guide the fashion house through a significant transition. The co-ed show, closing Milan Fashion Week, highlighted the brand's signature nonchalance while subtly introducing new elements, demonstrating that the designer's legacy is both maintained and evolving.
Silvana Armani, the designer's niece and head of womenswear design, stated that the aim was to "continue the message that he wanted to convey." The collection featured a relaxed silhouette, with jackets slightly elongated and trousers a bit slimmer, creating a balanced form. Menswear designer Leo Dell’Orco described the looks as conveying a sense of "real people heading out on the town."
The collection incorporated safari jackets and elongated blazers layered over vests or paired with shirts and ties. The color palette included sun-bleached greens, cobalt blues, and sandy neutrals, evoking a Mediterranean feel, with fabrics like linen, cotton, and textured knits reinforcing a relaxed summer mood. The womenswear cruise looks, the first designed by Silvana Armani, featured jackets, coats, and dresses with a light drape.
Following the show, Dell’Orco, who also chairs the Giorgio Armani Foundation, addressed rumors about personnel changes, denying reports that Dario Vitale would join Emporio Armani.
Armani’s will mandates that his heirs sell a 15% stake in the company, which encompasses the Emporio Armani label, Armani/Casa, and Armani Hotels, within 18 months of his passing last September. The Giorgio Armani Foundation is currently managing the search for a buyer for this stake.
Attendees at the show included actors Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mark Strong, and Lucy Boynton, as well as singer Conan Gray. A post-show reception in the adjacent garden was attended by guests including film director Paolo Sorrentino and former Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri.
