Adanola Founder Seeks Mansion Transformation
Hyrum Cook, the 33-year-old founder of the rapidly growing activewear brand Adanola, has submitted plans to extend his Cheshire residence.
Hyrum Cook, the 33-year-old founder of the activewear brand Adanola, has submitted plans for a significant renovation of his Cheshire mansion. The company, known for celebrity endorsements from figures like Kendall Jenner, Molly-Mae Hague, and Maya Jama, has seen substantial growth in recent years.
Cook and his partner, Jordana Lawton, purchased the large detached property in a sought-after Cheshire village for £3 million. The proposed plans involve a substantial ground-floor extension designed to support a new terrace that will connect to the main house and kitchen. This addition aims to enlarge the existing gym facilities and enhance the connection between the house and its garden.
The architectural plans emphasize a design that complements the existing dwelling, incorporating features such as arched openings and masonry detailing. The extension is intended to be subordinate in scale and will not compete with the principal form of the existing house.
Adanola, a Manchester-based company, has experienced significant asset growth between 2021 and 2023. Following the recruitment of Niran Chana from Gymshark, the brand's sales have continued to improve. The company is now reportedly valued at around £400 million, with investment from LA-based Story3 Capital Partners.
This Cheshire village is noted by property experts as a prominent postcode in the north of England, attracting individuals from the worlds of sport and business due to its privacy and proximity to major transport links, including Manchester Airport.
Cook and his brother Josh previously appeared on the television show 'Dragons' Den' in 2015 to seek funding for their social media photo booth company, Zeven Media. They secured an investment from Deborah Meaden for a stake in the company, though Zeven Media was later liquidated, owing money to creditors. Cook has also been expanding his commercial property portfolio, acquiring properties in Manchester's Northern Quarter and on Oxford Street.
